Alina Winter and Miriam Nagels from the FUB-team presented preliminary results of their crisis-related work within the BISKIT project at the conference of the European Sociological Association (ESA). With the title “What makes Crises and Resilience in Blood Supply? Results from a Case Study in South Africa”, the presentation addressed factors that contribute to the resilience of the blood supply system to crises such as a drought or epidemic and included a discussion of the role and design of communication in this regard. The discussion within the session was very fruitful and we were pleased about the great interest in our research and the academic exchange!
